The
2008
Farmers Market
season is nearly upon us. Get ready to splurge on the incredibly fresh,
locally grown produce, cut flowers and herbs, freshly ground grits and flour, in addition to the huge
assortment of baked goods and refreshments and crafts that you crave
the rest of the year. Continue to show your support for local vendors and farmers
by coming out to the markets (see the Food Section in the Wednesday edition of
the Post and Courier for a list of times and locations of all in the area.)
Due
to our reduced staffing and hours, we'll be taking a break from the markets
this year. We urge you to support the other vendors though!
The Charleston Market will be on Saturdays, April 12 and run through
December 21, from
8:00 am to 2:00 pm at Marion Square.
The
Mt.
Pleasant Farmers Market will be on Tuesdays, starting in
April and going through October, from 3:00 pm to dusk. Its location is to be
determined.
