Why do we do grow our own plants? For several reasons. Most
importantly, we have
greater control over the quality of what we sell. Over the
years, growing our own plants has also allowed us to experiment with many different varieties and
determine which ones really do perform the best in our climate. Another
advantage is that we are able to offer you many varieties not readily available
from commercial growers.
Our methods, while giving you a superior product, can
sometimes be
confusing to customers. Sometimes demand for certain varieties
is greater than what we had
anticipated (and what we grew) and we may not have what you want in stock.
Sometimes the weather does not cooperate, and the crops take longer to grow.
More plants are always on the way however, and can generally be ready within a month to
six weeks. If you know ahead
of time that you will need a large quantity of a certain plant, it is best to call
ahead and
place an order.
